2. Renato Sanches
Renato Sanches can be said to be one of Lille’s standout performers in today’s game. He performed well in the middle of the park and with his speed, drifting technique and courage, he could have had trouble for the Blues back in the first 45 minutes, but it was well played in the second half. 3. Ngolo Kante.
The French midfielder played a key role in the build-up to the second goal. He fired from midfield and gave full time to Pulisic who scored from close range. Although Renato Sanches showed for Lille, Kante also did a good job for the hosts and with two long goals and two assists, the blues were able to open the scoring in the first half, but could only lead by 1 goal. not on a half-time break by Kai Havertz.
